I loved the Nexus 6 because it was mostly a large Moto X. But it was too large, and meant that I had to adjust the way I used the device in order for it to be comfortable. Granted, I have smaller hands, but even the most die hard big-phone lovers complained about the Nexus 6’s size, which is why we’re happy to report the Nexus 6P isn’t quite so unwieldy.
The device is still a monster phone, but the aluminum design and smaller footprint makes for a very comfortable device. If you’re wondering, the Nexus 6P’s metal design feels a lot like holding an HTC One, which isn’t a bad thing at all. (The only difference is that camera hump on the back, which isn’t as big and ugly as we originally thought.) Compared to the plastic Nexus 5X, which doesn’t feel bad at all, you can definitely feel the difference in quality.
While the aluminum design is what you’ll immediately notice as the main differentiator between the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P, there are also some big differences on the inside. The Nexus 6P sports a Snapdragon 810 processor, 12.3-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture, 4K video, 8-megapixel front-facing camera, 3GB of RAM, 5.7-inch Quad HD screen and a 3450mAh battery.
Some other bits and pieces include a fingerprint sensor on back, USB-C, support for fast charging and NFC. You know, for Android Pay.
